Did you know that houseplants can communicate?
My plants speak to me. Thankfully, it is easy to find tricks and hacks on the internet on how to figure out what they are trying to say. Do they ask for more water? Less sunshine? Maybe a bigger pot? It is not always crystal clear. But my plants are very understanding. While I decode their messages and work out the best solutions for them, they willingly adapt to their new situations. It takes time and effort to find the answers, but in return, they keep the air fresh in my apartment.
They clean, we breathe, and they clean again.
Plants improve air quality. It is the invisible work they do without lifting a finger or making a move. At least, that’s what I thought until I have read that plants are in motion all day long, especially when they are content. I wanted to know if my plants were happy, so I tried to catch their moves. I watched them, but no luck. The movements are impossible to perceive unless you gaze for a very long time. For a neverending time.
To get evidence, I used my GoPro camera to stare at my favorite plants for three days and three nights. In the end, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Watch the story unfold!
I believe I can see.
Lately, I spend most of the day alone in my temporary home office. It is comforting to know that I have company. I glance at my plants between sending emails, hoping to see them dance in real-time. Guess what? Now I see them do the moonwalk every time I look. 😉
